Recently, the 2024 Kazakhstan International Elevator Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the “Exhibition”) was held in Almaty.
Gong Jianfei, vice president of China Elevator Association and chairman of BICM led a delegation to participate. Zhang Lexiang, Secretary General of China Elevator Association, and Zhou Chunming, Deputy Secretary General, accompanied the delegation on the visit.
This visit is a return visit to the Kazakhstan Elevator Association’s visit in China in December 2023. It is a concrete action to implement the memorandum of cooperation between the China and Kazakhstan Elevator Associations, and a practical measure to actively respond to the national “Belt and Road” strategic deployment.
The delegation was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition and participate in multiple government and industry exchange meetings organized by the Kazakhstan Elevator Association.
Gong Jianfei introduced the development history and industry overview of China’s elevator industry to the guests, focusing on the basic situation, industry advantageous position and business scope of China Elevator Association and National Elevator Quality Inspection and Testing Center, which enhanced the overall understanding of China’s elevator industry in Central Asia.
At the Kazakhstan Elevator Industry Quality and Safety Supervision Conference, Zhang Lexiang introduced China’s elevator industry supervision system and the laws and conventional models of elevator supervision in major countries/economies in the world.It also provides opinions and suggestions for Kazakhstan to effectively carry out safety and quality supervision in the elevator industry based on the actual situation of the country.
Zhou Chunming introduced the supporting role of inspection and testing activities in improving product safety and quality, and agreed on the subsequent technical support projects and content provided by the National Elevator Quality Inspection and Testing Center to Kazakhstan. The two parties agreed to hold talks again during the Shanghai International Elevator Exhibition in May this year.
On behalf of the National Elevator Quality Inspection and Testing Center, Gong Jianfei reached a cooperation intention and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kazakhstan Elevator Association, and reached an intention to export product EAC certification with several elevator companies.
Through this visit, the National Elevator Quality Inspection and Testing Center successfully established a cooperative relationship with Kazakhstan. Also gained a deeper understanding of the market conditions, industrial development trends, policy environment, etc. in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, laying the foundation for developing business in the Central Asian market in the future.
